    Job Title: Psychometrist  

    Tennessee Neuropsychology is seeking a full-time psychometrist (or part-time, with opportunity to expand to full-time). The psychometrist will administer, score, and manage examination data from neuropsychological testing for clinical and research use, as well as assist in clinic operations and research projects.

    Tennessee Neuropsychology (a division of Spica Psychology, PLLC) offers a variety of services relating to neurobehavioral assessment across the life span. Our cases include adult, child, forensic, disability, academic, and dementia patient populations.

    Tennessee Neuropsychology is located in the Fort Sanders West medical complex in Knoxville, Tennessee, in an office environment shared with Pinnacle Neurology. The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn multiple areas in neuropsychology, participate in research, and develop her/his clinical acumen through nearly-unlimited supervision with a broad variety of neurologic and psychiatric conditions. 

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Administer and score standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests.
    • Enter and manage data in a neuropsychological database (training provided).
    • Ensure the integrity of collected clinical data, verifying the quality of the data and checking for completeness.
    • Maintain clinical protocols and procedures.
    • Participate in ongoing research protocols as needed.
    • Miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

     

    Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology or related disciplines. Certified Psychological Assistant (CPA) in Tennessee, or CPA eligible.

    Preferred Qualifications: One year of cognitive assessment/technical psychometry work (i.e., clinical services, training, and/or research) under the supervision of a psychologist or one year of graduate study in psychology (or related area of study) in an accredited college or university with exposure to cognitive assessment and/or coursework.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing experience (for proof-reading reports). 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
    • English language proficiency required. Bilingualism welcome.

     

    Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Fluency in using computer software, such MS Word, Excel, and Access.

    Technical Qualifications/Specialized Certifications: Certified Psychological Assistant (CPA) in Tennessee or CPA eligible. [Tennessee Neuropsychology will train and fund certification for the right CPA-eligible candidate.]
